如果我们对2和3感到略有困惑的话，其实主要不是因为我们的理解能力不够好，而是阅读方法太急。总被那些“that,in which”牵着鼻子，试图一口气读完（这是一个通病，我们以为高手就是一口气读完一个长句的，其实高手也是一个意群一个意群地读的，只不过他的停顿时间几乎可不计）。阅读速度不是眼睛在单位时间内扫过多少单词，而是懂了多少意思！

但是，通过意群来读，许多人都知道，具体怎么运用呢？

可以这样来降“速”（没有理解的阅读速度是虚的）：假想对面站着另外一人，你说话，他只能通过听你的话来复述。

有辅导书教导我们，“要先找句子主干”。实际上那些主干都是出书人看懂之后，添加分析的，在“看懂”的那一瞬间，根本没有分析主干这个过程。要达到这样的水平，其实离我们只有一层窗户纸。那就是在3周内，在背单词的过程中，连续复述150~200个句子。所以，这个时候，选择例句好的词汇书非常重要。最好是象“2.”句那样的。坚持下来，你的眼睛就没有思维快了。
